What on Earth is Going On?

Part 2
Deuteronomy 32:16-17

Deuteronomy 32:16-17
16 They provoked him to jealousy with STRANGE GODS, with abominations provoked they him to anger.

17 They sacrificed unto devils, not to God;

to gods whom they knew not,

to new gods that came newly up, whom your fathers feared not.

Deuteronomy 32:19-20

19 And when the Lord saw it, he abhorred them,

because of the provoking of his sons, and of his daughters.

20 And he said, I will hide my face from them,

I will see what their end shall be: for they are a very froward generation, children in whom is no faith

Lamentations 5
Remember, O Lord, what is come upon us:
consider, and behold our reproach.
Our inheritance is turned to strangers,
our houses to aliens.

3 We are orphans and fatherless,
our mothers are as widows.

We have drunken our water for money;
our wood is sold unto us.

Our necks are under persecution:
we labour, and have no rest.

We have given the hand to the Egyptians,
and to the Assyrians, to be satisfied with bread.

Our fathers have sinned, and are not;
and we have borne their iniquities.

Servants have ruled over us:
there is none that doth deliver us out of their hand.

We gat our bread with the peril of our lives
because of the sword of the wilderness.

14 The elders have ceased from the gate,
the young men from their musick.

15 The joy of our heart is ceased;
our dance is turned into mourning.

16 The crown is fallen from our head:
woe unto us, that we have sinned!

21 Turn thou us unto thee, O Lord, and we shall be turned; renew our days as of old.

22 But thou hast utterly rejected us;
thou art very wroth against us.

Judges 2:11-12
11 And the children of Israel did evil in the sight of the Lord, and served Baalim:

12 and they forsook the Lord God of their fathers, which brought them out of the land of Egypt, and followed other gods, of the gods of the people that were round about them,

and bowed themselves unto them, and provoked the Lord to anger.

Judges 10:6
And the children of Israel did evil again in the sight of the Lord, and served Baalim, and Ashtaroth,

and the gods of Syria, and the gods of Zidon,

and the gods of Moab, and the gods of the children of Ammon, and the gods of the Philistines, and forsook the Lord, and served not him.

2 Corinthians 4:3-5
But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost:

in whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.

For we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord; and ourselves your servants for Jesus’ sake.

Ephesians 6:12
12 For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities,

against the cosmic powers over this present darkness,

against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places.
