Common Questions

We know visiting a new place can be a nervous experience.  We hope you will find answers to your questions here among our frequently asked questions.  If you need any assistance in planning your visit please feel free to contact us.

What are your weekend services like?

Each Sunday morning at 9:30 we meet for Sunday School.  These small group Bible classes are a great way to get to know our church.

At 10:30 we all meet together in our sanctuary for worship.  You’ll find a loving and friendly atmosphere with exciting worship music and a practical, relevant message. Children from newborn to 6th grade are well-cared for in a loving nursery and fun-filled children’s church service and junior church service.

Sunday evenings are a time that small groups meet for Bible study.  You can find a list of all the classes available on our Ministry Connection page.

How do I find out what’s going on at Grace?

If you would like to keep up with what’s going on at Church then you can always check out the Events calendar on this website. You can also sign up to receive our emails by giving us your contact information through the connection card in the church pew or on the Contact page of this site. On Sundays check out the printed or digital bulletin and the information on the screen during the welcome time of the service.

Do you have a mid-week service?

We have a worship service on Wednesday nights at 6:15pm.  We meet together for prayer, worship and Bible teaching.  Adults meet together in our sanctuary. Our 7th-12th grade students meet together for prayer and Bible study.  Our toddlers-6th grade participate in  fun-filled Bible classes.  Nursery care is provided for newborn to 2 year olds.  We have a meal that begins at 5:30pm on many of our Wednesday nights.  The cost is $5 per plate.  You can check our Bulletin or sign up for our email newsletter for more information about the meal schedule and menu.

What about my children?

Our children are a gift and responsibility given to us by God.  Our goal is to help them grow in their relationship with Jesus in any way we can.  Our nursery and toddler facilities are clean, safe, and staffed with loving workers. We offer an exciting children’s ministry as well as a faith building student ministry for high school students.

What do I wear?

Come as you are. We care about you — not what you wear.

How do I start to meet some people and get involved?

Sunday School. That’s really the best place to find some people that you want to meet with socially, grow together spiritually and with whom you’re motivated to serve your church and community.  You can find a list of groups on the Ministry Connection page.

Why do you talk so much about being involved in a Sunday School Class or Small Group?

Because we believe that’s where you are going to grow. When you can get together regularly with the same group of people where you are known, loved, and served, that’s when you are really experiencing church the way God intended it.

What denomination are you?

We are an Unaffiliated Baptist Church.  We are not part of the Southern Baptist Convention nor the Independent Baptist Association. We’re a body of people committed to being the church as described in the Bible. All decisions about our church are made by the Elders and Deacons of Grace. All financial matters are overseen by our Elders. All of our finances go towards Grace ministries and missionaries we support.  If you want to know more about what we believe, check out our statement of faith.

How do I become a member of Grace Baptist?

Church membership is an important decision for the believer in Jesus Christ.  The Bible teaches in 1 Corinthians 12 that the church is the body of Christ. As a Christian we are all members of the body of Christ.  This teaching shows us that becoming a member of a church is not like joining a social club. It’s a much stronger bond. Like the human body where each member is dependent on the other. So likewise, church members are joined together in a covenant relationship.

If you feel that God is calling you to join our church body at Grace we are so excited to meet with you.  We want to be sure that you understand the gospel message of Jesus Christ and have accepted Jesus as your Lord.  Please contact our office to meet with our pastor.
