Jeremiah 12:1-4 NIV
You are always righteous, Lord, when I bring a case before you. Yet I would speak with you about your justice:Why does the way of the wicked prosper? Why do all the faithless live at ease?
2 You have planted them, and they have taken root; they grow and bear fruit. You are always on their lips but far from their hearts.
3 Yet you know me, Lord; you see me and test my thoughts about you. Drag them off like sheep to be butchered! Set them apart for the day of slaughter!
4 How long will the land lie parched and the grass in every field be withered? Because those who live in it are wicked, the animals and birds have perished. Moreover, the people are saying,
“He will not see what happens to us.”
Jeremiah 12:5a KJV
If thou hast run with the footmen, and they have wearied thee, then how canst thou contend with horses…
Jeremiah 12:5b KJV
…and if in the land of peace, wherein thou trusted, they wearied thee, then how wilt thou do in the swelling of Jordan?

Our Trials bring MATURITY
James 1:3-4
3Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience.
4But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.
James 1:3-4 Msg
3You know that under pressure, your faith-life is forced into the open and shows its true colors. 4So don’t try to get out of anything prematurely. Let it do its work so you become mature and well-developed, not deficient in any way.
Our Trials bring HUMILITY
James 1:5
5If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.
1 Peter 1:6
6Wherein ye greatly rejoice, though now for a season, if need be, ye are in heaviness through manifold temptations:
Psalm 119:67, 71
67Before I was afflicted I went astray: but now have I kept thy word.
71It is good for me that I have been afflicted; that I might learn thy statutes.
Our Trials bring us to STABILITY
James 1:6-8
6But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed.
7For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord. 8A double minded man is unstable in all his ways.
Our Trials bring us to NOBILITY
James 1:9-12
9Let the brother of low degree rejoice in that he is exalted:
10But the rich, in that he is made low: because as the flower of the grass he shall pass away.
11For the sun is no sooner risen with a burning heat, but it withereth the grass, and the flower thereof falleth, and the grace of the fashion of it perisheth: so also shall the rich man fade away in his ways.
12Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him.
Our Trials bring us VICTORY
James 5:10-11
10 Take, my brethren, the prophets, who have spoken in the name of the Lord, for an example of suffering affliction, and of patience.
11 Behold, we count them happy which endure.
Ye have heard of the patience of Job and have seen the end of the Lord; that the Lord is very pitiful, and of tender mercy
