The Church the Manifold Wisdom of God Part 2

The Church the Manifold Wisdom of God
Part 2
Ephesians 3:8-11

Ephesians 3:8-11

Unto me, who am less than the least of all saints, is this grace given, that I should preach among the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ; and to make all men see what is the fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning of the world hath been hid in God, who created all things by Jesus Christ:

10 to the intent that now unto the principalities and powers in heavenly places might be known by the church the manifold wisdom of God,

11 according to the eternal purpose which he purposed in Christ Jesus our Lord:

Unprecedented Problem

Acts 21:27-28

27 When the seven days were almost completed, the Jews from Asia, seeing him in the temple, stirred up the whole crowd and laid hands on him, 28 crying out, “Men of Israel, help! This is the man who is teaching everyone everywhere against the people and the law and this place. Moreover, he even brought Greeks into the temple and has defiled this holy place.”

Acts 21:30

30 Then all the city was stirred up, and the people ran together.

They seized Paul and dragged him out of the temple, and at once the gates were shut.

Acts 21:31-32

31 And as they were seeking to kill him, word came to the tribune of the cohort that all Jerusalem was in confusion.

32 He at once took soldiers and centurions and ran down to them. And when they saw the tribune and the soldiers, they stopped beating Paul.

Acts 21:33-35

33 Then the tribune came up and arrested him and ordered him to be bound with two chains. He inquired who he was and what he had done.

34 Some in the crowd were shouting one thing, some another. And as he could not learn the facts because of the uproar, he ordered him to be brought into the barracks.

35 And when he came to the steps, he was actually carried by the soldiers because of the violence of the crowd,

36 for the mob of the people followed, crying out, “Away with him!”

Acts 22:21-22

21 And he said unto me, Depart: for I will send thee far hence unto the Gentiles.

22 And they gave him audience unto this word, and then lifted up their voices, and said, Away with such a fellow from the earth: for it is not fit that he should live.

23 And as they cried out, and cast off their clothes, and threw dust into the air,

An Unpredictable Plan

Ephesians 3:5

which in other ages was not made known unto the sons of men, as it is now revealed unto his holy apostles and prophets by the Spirit;

that the Gentiles should be fellowheirs, and of the same body, and partaker

of his promise in Christ by the gospel:

An Unlikely Preacher

Ephesians 3:1-3

For this cause I Paul, the prisoner of Jesus Christ for you Gentiles,

if ye have heard of the dispensation of the grace of God which is given me to you-ward:

how that by revelation he made known unto ME the mystery;

The Unique Purpose.

Ephesians 3:10-11

10 to the intent that now unto the principalities and powers in heavenly places

might be known by the church the manifold wisdom of God,

11 according to the eternal purpose which he purposed in Christ Jesus our Lord:

Unforgettable Prayer

Ephesians 3:14-15

14 For this cause I bow my knees unto the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,

15 of whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named,

  1. Strengthened with Supernatural Power

Ephesians 3:16

16 that he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man;

  1. Settled with Supernatural Faith

Ephesians 3:17a

17 that Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith;…

  1. Grounded in Supernatural Love

Ephesians 3:17b

17b… that ye, being rooted and grounded in love,

Ephesians 3:18

18 may be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height;

19 and to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge,

  1. Receive Supernatural Blessings!

Ephesians 19b-21

…that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God.

20 Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think,

according to the power that worketh in us,

21 unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen.
