Pastor Thompson parallels the judgement seat of Christ with Jacob’s judgement of his firstborn son Reuben.
Genesis 49:1-4

Romans 14:10-11
¹⁰ But why dost thou judge thy brother? or why dost thou set at nought thy brother? for we shall all stand before the judgment seat of Christ.
¹¹ For it is written, As I live, saith the Lord, every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall confess to God.

 2 Corinthians 5:9-11
¹⁰ For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.  ¹¹ Knowing therefore the terror of the Lord, we persuade men;

Genesis 49:1-4
Gather yourselves together, and hear, ye sons of Jacob; and hearken unto Israel your father.³ Reuben, thou art my firstborn, my might, and the beginning of my strength, the excellency of dignity, and the excellency of power: ⁴ unstable as water, thou shalt not excel; because thou wentest up to thy father’s bed; then defiledst thou it: he went up to my couch.

1. His ASSOCIATION (My Firstborn)

³ Reuben, thou art my firstborn, my might, and the beginning of my strength, the excellency of dignity, and the excellency of power: ⁴ unstable as water, thou shalt not excel; because thou wentest up to thy father’s bed; then defiledst thou it: he went up to my couch.

LIFE LESSONS

• The Judgment Seat will determine our Privileges in the next life.

• Sins not forgiven are sins not forgotten.

• Repent today and have no fear of tomorrow.
