Discouragement makes US UNWILLING.
Zechariah 2:6-7
6 Ho, ho, come forth, and flee from the land of the north, saith the Lord: for I have spread you abroad as the four winds of the heaven, saith the Lord.
7 Deliver thyself, O Zion, that dwellest with the daughter of Babylon.
Discouragement feelings of being UNWANTED.
Zechariah 2:4-5
4 and said unto him, Run, speak to this young man, saying, Jerusalem shall be inhabited as towns without walls for the multitude of men and cattle therein:
5 for I, saith the Lord, will be unto her a wall of fire round about, and will be the glory in the midst of her.
Discouragement makes us FEEL UNABLE!
Zechariah 4:6-7
6 Then he answered and spake unto me, saying, This is the word of the Lord unto Zerubbabel, saying, Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the Lord of hosts.
7 Who art thou, O great mountain? before Zerubbabel thou shalt become a plain: and he shall bring forth the headstone thereof with shoutings, crying, Grace, grace unto it.
Discouragement feeds, UNWORTHYNESS
Zechariah 4:7b
…and he shall bring forth the headstone thereof with shouting’s, crying, Grace, grace unto it.
Discouragement leaves us UNSATISFIED
Zechariah 4:8-10a
8 Moreover the word of the Lord came unto me, saying, 9 The hands of Zerubbabel have laid the foundation of this house; his hands shall also finish it; and thou shalt know that the Lord of hosts hath sent me unto you.
10 For who hath despised the day of small things?…
Ezra 3:10-13
10 And when the builders laid the foundation of the temple of the Lord, they set the priests in their apparel with trumpets, and the Levites the sons of Asaph with cymbals, to praise the Lord, after the ordinance of David king of Israel.
11 And they sang together by course in praising and giving thanks unto the Lord; because he is good, for his mercy endureth for ever toward Israel.
And all the people shouted with a great shout, when they praised the Lord, because the foundation of the house of the Lord was laid.
Ezra 3:12-13
12 But many of the priests and Levites and chief of the fathers, who were ancient men, that had seen the first house, when the foundation of this house was laid before their eyes, wept with a loud voice; and many shouted aloud for joy:
13 so that the people could not discern the noise of the shout of joy from the noise of the weeping of the people: for the people shouted with a loud shout, and the noise was heard afar off.
Be Thankful for the Small Things!
10 For who hath despised the day of small things?
for they shall rejoice, and shall see the plummet in the hand of Zerubbabel
with those seven; they are the eyes of the Lord, which run to and fro through the whole earth.
10 For who hath despised the day of small things?

with those seven; they are the eyes of the Lord, which run to and fro through the whole earth.
