1 Corinthians 15:1-8
3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; 4 and that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:
5 and that he was seen of Cephas, then of the twelve: 6 after that, he was seen of above five hundred brethren at once; of whom the greater part remain unto this present, but some are fallen asleep.
7 After that, he was seen of James; then of all the apostles. 8 And last of all he was seen of me also, as of one born out of due time.

for some time past, to write an orderly account for
you, most excellent Theophilus,

3 it seemed good to me also, having had perfect understanding of all things
from the very first, to write unto thee in order, most excellent Theophilus,
4 that you may have certainty concerning the things you have been taught.
Acts 1:1-3
The former treatise have I made, O Theophilus, of all that Jesus began both to do and teach,
2 until the day in which he was taken up, after that he through the Holy Ghost had given commandments unto the apostles whom he had chosen:
3 to whom also he shewed himself alive after his passion by many infallible proofs,
being seen of them forty days, and speaking of the things pertaining to the kingdom of God:

30 And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commanded all men everywhere to repent:
31 because he hath appointed a day, in the which he will judge the world in
righteousness BY THAT MAN whom he hath ordained;
whereof he hath given assurance unto all men, IN THAT HE HATH RAISED HIM FROM THE DEAD.
