The Value Of Encouragement

Everyone believes,only a few receive, but everyone needs Encouragement. We usually don’t get it unless we give it.
2 Timothy 1:13-18

Hold fast the form of sound words, which thou hast heard of me, in faith and love which is in Christ Jesus.  That good thing which was committed unto thee keep by the Holy Ghost which dwelleth in us. This thou knowest, that all they which are in Asia be turned away from me;  of whom are Phygellus and Hermogenes. The Lord give mercy unto the house of Onesiphorus; for he oft refreshed me, and was not ashamed of my chain:  But, when he was in Rome, he sought me out very diligently, and found me. The Lord grant unto him that he may find mercy of the Lord in that day:   and in how many things he ministered unto me at Ephesus, thou knowest very well.

  1. HIS UNIQUE SPIRIT- ”He oft refreshed me.”

  1. He Had a Gift from the Lord

Romans 12:5-6

so we, being many, are one body in Christ, and every one members one of another. Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us,

Romans 12:7-8

or ministry, let us wait on our ministering: or he that teacheth, on teaching; or he that exhorteth, on exhortation: he that giveth, let him do it with simplicity; he that ruleth, with diligence; he that sheweth mercy, with cheerfulness.

  1. It Was a Gift He Used Often

2 Timothy 1:16b

16 The Lord give mercy unto the house of Onesiphorus; for HE OFT REFRESHED ME

  1. HIS UNCONDITIONAL SUPPORT”He was not ashamed of my chain.”

2 Timothy 4:16

This thou knowest, that all they which are in Asia be turned away from me;  of whom are Phygellus and Hermogenes. The Lord give mercy unto the house of Onesiphorus; for he oft refreshed me, AND WAS NOT ASHAMED OF MY CHAIN:

  1. HIS UNTIRING EFFORT- , “he sought me out very diligently

2 Timothy 4:17

But, when he was in Rome, he sought me out very diligently, and found me.

2 Timothy 4:18

The Lord grant unto him that he may find mercy of the Lord in THAT DAY: and in how many things he ministered unto me at Ephesus, thou knowest very well.
