Living To Make A Difference

You, my brothers, were called to be free. But do not use your freedom to indulge the sinful nature; rather, serve one another in love.
Galatians 5:13-14

A Single Law

(Galatians 5:13-14) You, my brothers, were called to be free. But do not use your freedom to indulge the sinful nature; rather, serve one another in love. The entire law is summed up in a single command: “Love your neighbor as yourself.”

How to Make a Difference

(Galatians 6:10) Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers.

1.Identify my circle of influence.

(2 Corinthians 10:13 ESV) But we will not boast beyond limits, but will boast with regard to the area of influence God assigned to us, to reach even to you.

2.Meet them in their place of need.

(Galatians 6:2 NLT) Share each other’s burdens…

(Matthew 25:34-40) “Then the King will say to those on his right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father,’ take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world. For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat. I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink. I was a stranger and you invited me in. I needed clothes and you clothed me. I was sick and you looked after me. I was in prison and you came to visit me.’ “Then the righteous will answer him, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or in need of clothes and clothe you? When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit to you?’ “The King will rely, ‘I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these bothers of mine, you did to me.”

3.Point them to Jesus and His church.

(Psalm 92:12-15 NLT) But the godly will flourish like palm trees and grow strong like the cedars of Lebanon. For they are transplanted to the LORD’S own house. They flourish in the courts of our God. Even in old age they will still produce fruit; they will remain vital and green. They will declare, “The LORD is just! He is my rock! There is no evil in him!”
