Three examples to live by from the first Palm Sunday.
Matthew 21 and Luke 19

 Lessons from the COLT

The Colt was Chosen

You will find a donkey tied, and a colt with her. Loose them and bring them to Me

The Colt was Conquered

So the disciples went and did as Jesus commanded them. They brought the donkey and the colt, laid their clothes on them, and set Him on them.

The Colt was Content to lift up Christ

Matthew 21:6
So the disciples went and did as Jesus commanded them. They brought the donkey and the colt, laid their clothes on them, and SET HIM ON THEM.

 Lessons from the CHRIST

 Luke 19:37-38
Then, as He was now drawing near the descent of the Mount of Olives, the whole multitude of the disciples began to rejoice and praise God with a loud voice for all the mighty works they had seen,

saying: “Blessed is the King who comes in the name of the Lord!
Peace in heaven and glory in the highest!”

Lessons from the CROWD

Matthew 21:8-9
And a very great multitude spread their clothes on the road; others cut down branches from the trees and spread them on the road.  Then the multitudes who went before and those who followed cried out, saying:

“Hosanna to the Son of David!  ‘Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord!’ Hosanna in the highest!”

Luke 19:37-39
Then, as He was now drawing near the descent of the Mount of Olives, the whole multitude of the disciples began to rejoice and praise God with a loud voice for all the mighty works they had seen, 38 saying: ‘Blessed is the King who comes in the name of the Lord!’ Peace in heaven and glory in the highest!”

And some of the Pharisees called to Him from the crowd, “Teacher, rebuke Your disciples.” 40 But He answered and said to them, “I tell you that if these should keep silent, the stones would immediately cry out.”

Matthew 27:20-23
But the chief priests and elders persuaded the multitudes that they should ask for Barabbas and destroy Jesus. 21 The governor answered and said to them, “Which of the two do you want me to release to you?”

They said, “Barabbas!” 22 Pilate said to them, “What then shall I do with Jesus who is called Christ?” They all said to him, “Let Him be crucified!”

Then the governor said, “Why, what evil has He done?” But they cried out all the more, saying, “Let Him be crucified!”
